At the season 20th final on may the 22nd the final of “America Idol,” Deana Carter and Mike Parker decided to sing a country song duet. The country song they had decided to sing was strawberry 
wine.
This song had been co-written by Gary Harrison and Matravers Berg and also featured on carter’s debut album which the title name is “Did I shave my legs for this” which puts a smile 
on my face every time I say that title. When seeing them both on stage they seem to me that their performance and vocals and choice of songs just met in the middle and flowed very well together. Carter had already seen Parker perform this song earlier on during the “American idol audition. And of course, she liked what she saw and heard 
and went on to do this country song duet with him “strawberry wine” Them being the top 7 finalists. With these two superstars giving this song a new direction and a new lease of life and much more upliftment, this country song will sail for a long time. This “American Idol “season 20 goes on for about 3 hours so that’s 3 hours of pure pleasure 
. And with great judges and performances, their not much more to be asked .with the likes of Tai Verdes, Ben Platt, Thomas Rhett, Flo Rida, Earth wind and fire, Melissa Etheridge, Lionel Richie Kat Perry, and Luke Bryan the list of country superstars and soul superstars goes on and on .some of our old favorites made a return to “American Idol” such as Jay Copeland, Christian Guardino, Nicosia Bolton, lady k, fritz Hager, and many more .just overwhelmed with country songs till your ears hurt. The host of the “American Idol “show was Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol finale was aired on ABC. Sunday 22nd of May at 8/7 coast to coast this had also been streamed live on ABC.COM.
