While they were in the studio recording Debut, Joel came up with a new name “All the King’s Men”, which originally sounded like Humpty Dumpty rhyme. The producer of the Debut heard this name-changing conversation and sat with them and said, “what do you guys think about ‘For King and Country?” the name immediately felt it had more meaning than the original.
